watchmen

went watch this last night with Ash gotta say really enjoyed it, considering i personally didn't know anything about it at all never even heard of it until the film came about. It is a pretty dark film all in all plenty of action, gore thrown in with a story that grabs you right from the start its a long film but to be honest i didnt even notice this as i didnt look to see what time it was all the way through the film. Only one thing a bit less of the blue cock shots throughout the film would have been better lol but all in all a very good watch.

if you're a comic fan you'll love this film. I can see why people may slate it tho.. the usual inner monologue you get with characters in comics is very present here. Alot of narration and such.. well tbh the comic/film is supposed to be a recount of Rorschach's journal It's stays very very loyal to the comic almost to a fault. Yeah the blue cock shots were a bit much lol I really loved this film, Rorschach is a proper hard man lol

i never got a chance to read these comics .. but when i watched the film i was expecting something like Batman / Xmen kinda action . i have to admit i didnt hate it but prob wouldnt go see it again . The action sceens that it did have were good and the story lines was great .
i also wasnt expecting 2 - 3 sex sceens within 15 mins of the film lol

Cant say I've read the comic, but the film looks good and from what i've seen quite accurate to the graphic novel?

I wasn't too impressed with it. Comic book stuff is usually right up my alley (fnar fnar) but the whole thing left me a bit cold. Spoilers coming up so look away NOW if you haven't seen it yet.

The outfits were RIDICULOUS and looked more like something you'd hire for a tenner than 'proper' super hero outfits. I liked the general feel of the film but some of the characters sucked - Owlman and Xena (yeah I know they're not the proper names but you know who I mean) were just awful, and the 'love story' between them was totally unbelievable, no chemistry at all. Oh and the flying owl mobile looked like a kid had designed it, or ThunderBird 0.5, take yer pick.

The story was OK but it seemed like a movie about them 'back in the day' would've been better, instead of a bunch of crusty old has beens. And since when was just being a bit handy in a fist fight counted as a super power? The only one with any real power was Mister Blue Dong and his powers were so bloody ridiculous in a film where everyone else can just about handle 3 guys at once in a brawl.

The best character was Rawshack (spelt wrong no doubt) and he gets murdered right at the end for doing the right thing! Some payback, cheers Donger.

6/10 a nice idea but too boring in places and too many unlikeable characters.
